tl;dr — readers cook is a tool for posting about and trading NEAR meme coins. crypto is risky, you keep custody you can exit any time, we charge 1% per trade, and we won't cover your losses if a coin rugs. the long version is below — read it before you ape.
These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of the website at readerscook.xyz, the related Telegram bot (@ReaDersCookBot), and any other services we provide (together, the "Service"). "We," "us," or "Readers Cook" refers to the operators of the Service.
By accessing or using the Service, signing in with a NEAR wallet or with X (Twitter), or otherwise interacting with the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 18 years old, have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract in your jurisdiction, and not be a person barred from using the Service under the laws of your jurisdiction or any applicable sanctions regime. You represent and warrant that all information you provide to the Service is accurate.
The Service is not available to residents of jurisdictions where providing access to a non-custodial crypto trading interface, self-custodial wallet, or token-discovery tools would be unlawful. You are responsible for ensuring your use complies with local law.
Readers Cook is a social feed and trading interface for fungible tokens issued on the NEAR Protocol. The Service:
The Service is not a broker, a dealer, a money transmitter, an investment adviser, or an exchange. We do not match user orders. Every swap is executed against public on-chain liquidity that any other NEAR user could access directly.
You can sign in to the Service by (a) connecting a self-custodied NEAR wallet (Meteor, MyNearWallet, Here, Bitte, Intear, etc.) and signing a NEP-413 message, or (b) authorizing the Service to read your public X (Twitter) profile via OAuth 2.0. In either case we create a Readers Cook user record tied to that identity.
You are responsible for: keeping your sign-in credentials and recovery materials secure; the activity that occurs under your account; and the consequences of any sign-in granted to a third party (including any browser extension, bookmarklet, or automation tool you use).
When you first sign in, the Service may generate a fresh NEAR implicit account (the "Trading Wallet") on your behalf. The seed phrase for that wallet is encrypted at rest using authenticated symmetric encryption (AES-GCM) under a key the Service controls.
The Trading Wallet is custodial in convenience and sovereign on demand:
You are solely responsible for transactions you initiate through the Trading Wallet and for the management of funds inside it.
The Service charges a 1% fee on the gross input amount of each on-chain swap routed through the Service. The fee is deducted on-chain at swap time.
A portion of the fee is paid out to the user who referred you (and, recursively, up to four further upstream referrers), per the tiers published in our docs. Referral payouts are made periodically to the NEAR account each referrer has configured as their rewards wallet. Fee amounts, tiers, and payout cadence may change with notice.
Network gas, storage deposits, AMM pool fees, and slippage are paid by you on top of the Service fee. We do not refund failed or partially-filled swaps; we do not guarantee any specific execution price.
Crypto-asset trading is extremely risky. Token prices can move sharply in either direction. Liquidity can vanish without warning. Smart contracts can be exploited, mis-configured, or outright fraudulent. Meme coins routinely lose 100% of their value. You may lose all of the funds you commit through the Service.
Nothing on the Service is investment, financial, legal, or tax advice. Posts authored by other users ("shills") are user-generated content and do not represent our views. Price charts, trending lists, and signals are informational only.
You acknowledge that you are solely responsible for your own research and trading decisions. You will not hold us liable for losses arising from token price movements, rug pulls, smart contract exploits, third-party indexer errors, network congestion, or upstream service outages.
You agree not to use the Service to:
We may remove content, suspend accounts, or terminate access for any violation of these Terms at our sole discretion.
You retain ownership of the text, images, and other content you post to the Service ("User Content"). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, display, reproduce, distribute, and create derivative works of your User Content solely for the purpose of operating and promoting the Service.
You are solely responsible for your User Content and the consequences of posting it. You represent that you have all rights necessary to grant the license above and that your User Content does not violate any law or third-party right.
If you authorize the Service to read your X (Twitter) account, or if you use our Telegram bot to track posts from a public X account, the Service may display content sourced from X (including avatars, display names, post text, and timestamps) inside the Service. That content is subject to X's own terms and developer policies in addition to these Terms.
We do not store X content longer than necessary to render it. You can revoke our access to your X account from your X settings at any time.
The Service's code, designs, copy, name, logo, and brand elements are owned by Readers Cook and protected by intellectual property law. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our brand or trademarks without our prior written consent.
The Service integrates with third-party providers including the NEAR Protocol, public RPC endpoints (e.g. FastNEAR), block explorers (e.g. NEARBlocks), price oracles (e.g. CoinGecko), AMMs (e.g. Ref Finance / Rhea, Intear), object storage and edge providers (e.g. Cloudflare R2, Vercel), our database provider (Supabase), and the X (Twitter) API. We do not control these providers and are not responsible for their availability, accuracy, or actions.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. We disclaim all implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, free of errors, or free of harmful components.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event will Readers Cook, its operators, contributors, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, loss of data, loss of goodwill, or any other intangible losses, arising from or related to your use of the Service.
Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the total Service fees you paid us in the 90 days preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) USD 100.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Readers Cookand its operators from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in any way connected with: (a) your access to or use of the Service; (b) your User Content; (c) your violation of these Terms; or (d) your violation of any law or third-party right.
You may stop using the Service at any time. You may export your Trading Wallet seed phrase from Settings before doing so. After export, the on-chain account is yours alone.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including violation of these Terms. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnity, and governing law) will survive.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operators of Readers Cook are organized, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. To the extent permitted by law, any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved by binding arbitration on an individual basis; you waive any right to participate in a class action or class-wide arbitration.
Nothing in this Section prevents either party from seeking equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction for intellectual property infringement or misappropriation.
Questions about these Terms or the Service can be sent to hello@readerscook.xyz.
